Do you know about one of the famous marvel superheroes named Spiderman? Batman? Or Hulk and Captain America? Marvel Comics Lovers certainly already know about them. Marvel superheroes characters in Marvel Comics from Spiderman, Batman, Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine, Cyclops, Rogue, Iron Man and many more.

Then do you know about one of the famous fictional characters named Megaman? Or Captain Commando? Then, Street Fighter series which tell the story of Chun-Li, or Bison? Yes, Capcom games lovers certainly know about those characters.

And what if all of the superheroes characters from  Marvel and Capcom is combined into a game? Marvel Vs Capcom - Clash of Super Heroes arcade fighting games turns combines all of the characters into one game. Maybe not all the characters in the Marvel superheroes or Capcom put into this game. Only a few are quite famous such as, Chun-Li, Ryu, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spiderman, and others. Moreover, this game is also provided by one of the antagonists characters (so not only protagonists are included). Do you know who he is? He is Venom, the enemy of Spiderman. Although in this game Venom has relatively less fighting skills, but his defense is quite strong.

Total characters in this game are 15 main characters, 20 support characters, and some special characters that can only be obtained if we managed to press a certain key combination. The special characters are Roll (Megaman series), Hyper Venom (Venom with golden skin), Orange Hulk (golden on his Iron body), Chun-Li Shadow (robots similar to Chun-Li), etc.

This game series tells the story of Professor Xavier (a character in the X-Men series) that calls the superheroes in various parts of the world to come together to help the Marvel superheroes fight against an enemy called Onslaught. Onslaught itself is a combination of Professor Xavier and Magneto (Marvel Comics enemy in this series). Professor Xavier turns utilized by Magneto so Magneto takes over his body and his strength, and combined them into a giant monster that very strong (final boss in this game).

After we beat Onslaught, each character that we choose in the start of the game has different ending story. There are happy ending and also sad ending like Captain America. Captain America sacrifices himself to defeat Onslaught which has reaches his final form as a life energy. Unlike the case with Chun Li who has a hanging ending. At the time of the last ending, apparently Chun Li was unable to defeat Onslaught but was later rescued by an unknown shadow.

Gameplay

Marvel Vs Capcom arcade fighting games provides variety characters of Marvel superheroes or Capcom. These characters are divided into two categories: the main character and supporting character. The main characters that we can choose are:

Marvel: Captain America, Gambit, Hulk, Hulk Orange (special characters), Onslaught (special characters), Spiderman, Venom, Hyper Venom (special characters), War Machine, Gold War Machine (special characters), and Wolverine.

Capcom: Captain Commando, Chun-Li, Ryu, Chun-Li Shadow (special characters), Jin, Megaman, Morrigan, Lilith (special characters), Roll (special characters), Strider Hiryu, and Zangief.

In this game we play as a team consisting of two characters. First, we choose the main character. Then after that we choose another one as supporting character that given randomly. We can call the supporting characters once in a while and would directly attack the enemy. But its weakness, there is a limit for each of the supporting characters to be called. Usually, strong supporting characters are given limits by 3-4 times per round and weak characters are given limits by 6-7 times per round.

Marvel: Psylocke, Jubilee, Juggernaut, Rogue, Magneto (original form before it turns into Onslaught), Sentinel, Storm, Thor, US Agent, Colossus, Cyclops, and Iceman.

Capcom: Lou & Silva, Michelle Heart, Pure & Fur, Saki Omokane, Shadow, Ton Pooh, Unknown Soldier, Anita, Devilotte, and Arthur.

In addition, this game is also featured by the HP indicator and Power indicator bar. Power bar is made up of 3 levels and will continue to increase if we hit the enemy. When the power bar has reached one level bar, then we can use the power bar to make power combos. Each character has several different combos.
